About Scouting for Girls

Scouting for Girls became one of the UK’s most recognisable pop bands after forming in London as a trio of childhood friends: Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Peter Ellard. With their piano-led sound, sharp hooks and unmistakably British charm, they quickly stood out as one of the defining feel-good acts of the late 2000s.

Their 2007 self-titled debut was a huge breakthrough, spawning hits such as She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead, Heartbeat and I Wish I Was James Bond. The album topped the UK Albums Chart, went triple platinum, and established the band as a major crossover success.
They kept that momentum going in the years that followed, building a loyal fanbase through constant touring and a string of upbeat, crowd-pleasing releases. Everybody Wants To Be On TV, which included the No.1 single This Ain’t A Love Song, further cemented their status as one of the UK’s most enduring pop acts.

What has kept Scouting for Girls going is their ability to write songs that feel instantly familiar and built for a live crowd. Their mix of playful lyrics, big pop melodies and singalong choruses has helped them stay a firm favourite with audiences well beyond their breakthrough years, giving their music a staying power that still connects today.

Now, in 2027, Scouting for Girls are marking 20 years together with the biggest headline shows of their career. The anniversary arena dates will take them to Manchester’s AO Arena and London’s OVO Arena Wembley for two celebratory nights, with fellow 2000s favourites The Hoosiers joining as special guests.
