Supergrass, the quintessential Britpop band, emerged from the vibrant music scene of Oxford in the early 1990s. Initially known as The Jennifers, the band underwent a name change and lineup adjustment, solidifying their identity as Supergrass. The core lineup consisted of Gaz Coombes on lead vocals and guitar, Mick Quinn on bass guitar and backing vocals, Danny Goffey on drums and percussion, and Rob Coombes on keyboards and backing vocals.

Supergrass burst onto the music scene with their debut album, “I Should Coco” (1995), which was a critical and commercial success. Hits like “Alright” and “Mansize Rooster” propelled them to fame, establishing them as one of the leading bands of the Britpop era.
