Andrea Bocelli is heading to Cardiff next summer for what will be his first headline show in Wales, the Italian tenor will perform at the Principality Stadium on Saturday 8th May 2027, where he’ll headline the first ever Land of Song Festival. Having been 22 years since Bocelli last performed in Wales, this is an extremely significant return, with the Land of Song built around Wales’ long-standing love of singing and choral music.
A first for Wales
While Bocelli has performed in Wales before, this will be his first headline concert in the country. His last Welsh appearance came 22 years ago, with this a particularly long-awaited return for fans. There’s something lovely about this setting, Bocelli is one of the world’s most recognisable voices and Wales has long been known for its own enormous choral tradition, the two coming together feels almost inevitable.
Romanza Turns 30
With the hugely successful Romanza album turning 30 in 2027, the Cardiff show comes at an important moment in Bocelli’s career, it could mean that there’s a very good chance of hearing some of the songs that turned Bocelli into a global star, including ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ and ‘Vivo per lei’. The album, which has sold more than 19 million copies worldwide, is scheduled to have a 30th anniversary re-release in September 2026.

General sale for tickets begun at 10am on Friday, 14th August 2026. With this being Bocelli’s first Welsh headline show and the only performance currently announced for the first Land of Song Festival, it’s probably going to be popular with fans across Wales and beyond.
