Wonderful

Excellent, fast, friendly service. Sent me a personal message with a photo before pick-up to let me know where their booth was located. Their service was so good, i’d go to an event just to pick up tickets from them. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

About Ocean Colour Scene

Ocean Colour Scene, a band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1989, emerged during a vibrant era for British guitar music. The original members were Simon Fowler (vocals, guitar), Steve Cradock (guitar), Damon Minchella (bass), and Oscar Harrison (drums). Their sound uniquely blended influences from 1960s rock, rhythm and blues, and soul, creating a distinct approach that combined the vintage charm of earlier music with a contemporary flair. Although their self-titled debut album released in 1992 didn’t achieve immediate commercial success, the band remained committed to their craft, continuing to evolve through the 1990s.

Their true breakthrough came with the album “Moseley Shoals,” released in 1996. This record not only defined their musical identity but also resonated deeply with the Britpop movement, reaching No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. “Moseley Shoals” featured iconic tracks like “The Riverboat Song,” “The Day We Caught the Train,” “You’ve Got It Bad,” and “The Circle.” These songs solidified Ocean Colour Scene’s status as one of the quintessential British acts of the decade. Following that success, their second album, “Marchin’ Already,” released in 1997, debuted at No. 1, even outselling the mighty Oasis during its launch week, a testament to their rising popularity and staying power in the music scene.

Ocean Colour Scene’s discography is rich, featuring both widely recognized singles and deeply loved album tracks. Even after their 90s peak, they released enduring songs like “Profit in Peace,” “Up on the Downside,” “Better Day,” and “Hundred Mile High City,” the latter of which gained additional fame through its inclusion in the film “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.” Albums like “Moseley Shoals” and “Marchin’ Already” are frequently celebrated as key influences of the Britpop era, seamlessly combining mod revivalist influences with heartfelt soul.

The band has also built a strong live reputation, becoming a staple of the UK’s music scene by frequently touring major venues and festivals, often selling out their shows. They’ve had the honour of supporting Birmingham icons like Paul Weller and rock legends such as Noel Gallagher. Their live performances are renowned for their uplifting energy and musical precision, highlighted by Cradock’s distinctive guitar riffs and Fowler’s soulful, resonant vocals.

Ocean Colour Scene, while often overshadowed by flashier Britpop bands, are respected for their musicianship and authenticity. They effectively blend 1960s British rock with 1990s carefree vibes, creating music that feels both nostalgic and relevant. Their multi-platinum albums, particularly “Moseley Shoals,” are staples in British music and have paved the way for bands like Travis and Stereophonics. Their lasting popularity and emotional storytelling have solidified their legacy as one of Britain’s great modern rock bands.
