Was a bit dubious buying F1 tickets…
Bought a 4 day grandstand seat to the australian grand prix and was a bit offput by the fact that I wouldn't recieve my tickets til the week of, but lo and behold, 3 days before the event the tickets were transferred to me without issue. Happy with the process overall.

Kasabian was formed in 1997 in Leicester, England, by childhood friends Tom Meighan, Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Karloff, and Chris Edwards. They aimed to create a unique sound that blended rock energy with electronic elements, taking their name from Linda Kasabian, a member of the Manson Family, which reflected their interest in rebellion.
Their debut album, Kasabian (2004), marked their entry into the mainstream, featuring hit singles like “Club Foot,” “Processed Beats,” and “LSF (Lost Souls Forever).” This album showcased a mix of infectious grooves and anthemic choruses, establishing them as a standout act in the British rock scene. Their second album, Empire (2006), solidified their status as one of the biggest bands in the UK, buoyed by the festival anthem “Empire.”
Throughout their career, they’ve produced numerous hits like “Fire,” “Underdog,” and “You’re In Love With a Psycho,” all of which helped define modern rock. Their 2009 album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, was a creative milestone, featuring “Fire,” which became one of their most recognised tracks. In later albums like Velociraptor! (2011) and 48:13 (2014), they continued to innovate, exploring new electronic sounds.
Kasabian has established itself as one of the UK’s premier live acts, renowned for their electrifying and high-energy performances at major festivals, including the iconic Glastonbury and Leeds festivals. A standout moment in the band’s illustrious history occurred during a homecoming concert in 2014, which celebrated Leicester City’s remarkable promotion to the Premier League. This event was particularly significant for the band, as it drew an enormous crowd of dedicated fans, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
In 2020, following the departure of vocal frontman Tom Meighan, guitarist and songwriter Sergio Pizzorno stepped up to take on the role of lead vocalist. Under his artistic direction, the band has unveiled a revitalised lineup, bringing fresh energy and creativity to their music. Their latest tour, titled The Alchemist’s Euphoria, which spanned from 2022 to 2023, has been met with widespread acclaim and continues to attract large audiences eager to experience their captivating live shows.
Over the years, they’ve garnered numerous awards, including multiple NME and Q Awards, and a BRIT Award for Best British Group in 2010. Critics admire their ability to evolve musically while retaining their core identity, balancing indie rock with electronic influences. Kasabian’s impact is evident across the rock genre, enabling them to maintain relevance and excitement in a changing musical landscape for over two decades.
Kasabian’s 2026 UK show at Finsbury Park promises an explosive one-night-only celebration of their biggest hits, from “Fire” and “Club Foot” to “Underdog” and “Empire.” Fans can expect the band’s trademark energy, massive visuals, and a euphoric festival atmosphere as Sergio Pizzorno leads the Leicester legends through a career-spanning set built for pure, unapologetic rock chaos.
