Fifteen Years of Tourist History
When Tourist History arrived in 2010, it made a lasting impression, packed with songs like “What You Know,” “Undercover Martyn,” and “I Can Talk,” the album became one of the defining indie records of its era, soundtracking everything from student nights to festival fields.
Even fifteen years later, those songs have stood the test of time and haven’t shifted away from their indie throne. If anything, these tracks have found themselves at home in an entirely new audience, with younger audiences discovering the album after its original release and older fans treating it as a standout debut of the 2010s.
More Than A Standard Nostalgia Tour
While the gigs will see Tourist History performed in its entirety, the band are taking attendees on a full-throttle zip through their discography. Fans can expect a career-spanning sets featuring highlights cherrypicked from across the band’s mammoth catalogue, celebrating everything that has happened in the interim to change the course of their career. It’s a nice reminder that Tourist History was only the beginning for the band.
Special Guests
The support lineup for the tour changes depending on where you’re planning to visit, The Royston Club will open up for the Dublin and Belfast shows, with Circa Waves and Arkayla joining for Glasgow, Manchester and London. On the whole, the lineup brings together the old and new generations of British and Irish indie.
Tickets and Presales
Fans won’t have to wait long for their tickets, presale access begins at 9am on Wednesday, with general sale kicking off at 9am on Friday, 3rd July. Given this is the band’s first UK and Ireland headline run in over seven years, these shows are likely to become some of the most sought-after indie tickets of 2027. Fanatix is a great option for those who miss out on tickets at the point of onsale, offering a verified marketplace for ticket buyers and sellers.
This tour is set to be a celebration of an album that has never really left the forefront of the minds of indie enjoyers, whether you first heard “What You Know” on the radio back in 2010 or have discovered it years later through a playlist or on a viral TikTok, Tourist History manages to outlast the indie boom that first made Two Door Cinema Club famous.
