Wonderful

Excellent, fast, friendly service. Sent me a personal message with a photo before pick-up to let me know where their booth was located. Their service was so good, i’d go to an event just to pick up tickets from them. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Assen MotoGP tickets 2026

History of the MotoGP Dutch Grand Prix

The TT Circuit Assen boasts the accolade of being the longest serving circuit on the MotoGP world calendar. With a history of motorsport excellence, the ‘Cathedral of Speed’ has held a Dutch GP every year since its inception in 1949 uninterrupted, with the sole exception of 2020, the only circuit to do so. Before reaching world championship status, being sanctioned as a Grand Prix track by motorcycle racing’s governing body, the FIM, the TT Circuit Assen has been home to regional and national motorcycle racing events since its creation in 1925, albeit on what was then a street circuit.

Located just 2 hours from capital city and global hotspot Amsterdam, Assen is embedded in the picturesque hills of the Netherlands. Close proximity to other European countries, namely Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom, draws motorcycle fanatics far and wide to witness the spectacle of the Dutch TT.

2025 Dutch Grand Prix Summary

Fabio Quartararo began the race on pole position, however quickly dropped back to 4th in the opening lap thanks to a mistake from Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider, Franco Morbidelli, eventually finishing the race in 10th. Francesco Bagnaia took the holeshot on lap 1, leading the early stages of the race preceded by Marc and Álex Márquez, respectively. Lap 5 proved detrimental to the title fight as second-in-the-standings Álex Márquez crashed out of second place, and Marc Marquez snatched the lead from teammate Bagnaia. Lap 9 saw Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi take 2nd place, remaining closely on Marc Márquez’s rear tire for the remainder of the race.

Bezzecchi finished the race in 2nd, a celebration of the factory Aprilia’s proven speed and a much needed morale boost for the Italian team, as teammate Jorge Martin remained sidelined due to injury. Francesco Bagnaia finished a distant but solid 3rd place. Marc Márquez took the victory following a difficult weekend of crashes, bruises and frequent visits to the gravel, equalling legend Giacomo Agostini’s 68 MotoGP victories.

Travelling to TT Circuit Assen

Key information

Groningen Airport Eelde (GRQ) is the closest airport to TT Circuit Assen, around 20 km from the circuit, but it has limited international connections.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) is the main international hub most fans use. It is about 140 km from Assen and around 2 hours from the circuit by car or train.

Other airports like Bremen (Germany) and Eindhoven (Netherlands) are possible alternatives but are usually less convenient than Schiphol for most international visitors.

Trains from Amsterdam and Schiphol to Assen run regularly, with journey times of roughly 2 hours and typical one way fares starting around €25 to €35.

Taxis for the full Schiphol to Assen route are available but very expensive, so public transport or a rental car is generally the better option.

Train
Direct intercity trains run from Amsterdam and Schiphol towards Assen, usually with a change in Zwolle.
Travel time is usually between 1 hour 50 minutes and 2 hours 15 minutes, depending on the connection.
Expect to pay roughly €25 to €35 each way in standard class if you book a regular ticket.

Bus
Long distance buses generally run to Groningen rather than directly to Assen, so you will usually need to connect by train or local bus for the final leg.
Bus tickets can sometimes be cheaper than the train, but overall journey times are longer and less convenient on busy race weekends.

Drive
Driving from Groningen Airport Eelde to TT Circuit Assen takes around 25 minutes, with a distance of roughly 25 to 30 km.
From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, the drive to Assen takes about 2 hours and covers around 140 km, depending on traffic.
Rental cars are widely available at both Groningen and Schiphol. Parking is available at the circuit, although it can fill up quickly on MotoGP and WorldSBK race days, so early arrival is recommended.
