Wonderful

Excellent, fast, friendly service. Sent me a personal message with a photo before pick-up to let me know where their booth was located. Their service was so good, i’d go to an event just to pick up tickets from them. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

History of the MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix

The Sepang International Circuit is the modern home of the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, established as part of Malaysia’s major push into world-class motorsport in the late 1990s. Opened in 1999 and designed by Hermann Tilke, the circuit replaced the former Shah Alam and Johor layouts and immediately became a landmark venue in Southeast Asia, bringing both MotoGP and Formula 1 to the country for the first time. Its layout was created with fast sweepers, long straights and wide, open corners that encourage overtaking and reward riders who can manage tyre wear and high-temperature performance in Malaysia’s tropical climate.

Located adjacent to Kuala Lumpur International Airport in the state of Selangor, Sepang has long attracted large, passionate crowds from across Malaysia and the wider region. Its accessibility, modern facilities and reputation for dramatic racing, often influenced by sudden monsoon rain, have made it one of the most distinctive stops on the MotoGP calendar. With continuous investment and its strategic position near the country’s capital, the circuit remains the focal point of Malaysian motorsport and a key venue in Asian Grand Prix racing.

2025 Malaysian Grand Prix Summary

Francesco Bagnaia converted pole into the holeshot at Turn 1, but his early control of the Malaysian Grand Prix was short-lived as Álex Márquez struck back on lap two and took command at the front. Behind them, Pedro Acosta quickly turned the race into a fight for second, forcing Bagnaia into defensive mode through Sepang’s long, heat-soaked corners while several riders were caught out, including Fermín Aldeguer crashing from seventh, with further incidents for Raúl Fernández and Pol Espargaró.

With three laps remaining, Bagnaia suddenly sat up and coasted to retirement, a late problem suspected to be tyre-related, which instantly reshuffled the podium fight and elevated Joan Mir into the top three. Álex Márquez took the flag to seal his third Grand Prix win of the 2025 season, a victory that rounded out a weekend in which he had already secured second overall in the championship standings.
