Chaos, crashes, and late drama are routine in Baku. Fanatix is your place to secure your seats, with the full range of grandstand passes available above. All orders are 100% guaranteed.

The 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix runs from September 24–26. This is a standard race weekend. Times provided are local:
Because the Baku City Circuit runs through the heart of the city, parking is extremely limited and most roads near the circuit are closed on race weekend. The Baku Metro is the recommended way to arrive, with the nearest stations being Icheri Sheher, Sahil, and 28 May — metro hours are typically extended until 2:00 AM during race weekend. General Admission (Roaming) tickets are also available, giving access to various standing areas around the circuit without a reserved seat so arrive early to secure a good spot near a giant screen. 3-day grandstand ticket holders typically also receive access to a Pit Lane Walk on Thursday afternoon.
Baku’s street circuit layout means each grandstand puts you in a completely different part of the city — and a completely different type of racing action. Here’s what to expect.
Best for: Fans who want to see DRS battles down the longest straight in F1, pit lane action, and the race start — with the comfort of partial weather cover.
Best for: Fans who want the most atmospheric and visually distinctive section of any street circuit on the F1 calendar.
Best for: Fans who want variety — high-speed and technical sections in the same sightline.
Below are the key results from the last three editions of the race, including podium finishers, pole position and fastest lap.
| Result | 2025 | Time | 2024 | Time | 2023 | Time |

| 2nd | George Russell | +14.609 | Charles Leclerc | +10.910 | Max Verstappen | +2.137 |
| 3rd | Carlos Sainz | +19.199 | George Russell | +31.328 | Charles Leclerc | +21.217 |
| Pole Position | Max Verstappen | 1:41.117 | Charles Leclerc | 1:41.365 | Charles Leclerc | 1:40.203 |

Max Verstappen secured a dominant victory in Baku, capitalising on a dramatic first-lap crash from championship leader Oscar Piastri. While Piastri retired after sliding into the barriers at Turn 5, Lando Norris failed to fully exploit the opportunity, finishing seventh after a slow pit stop and a frustrating afternoon trapped in a DRS train. George Russell overcame illness to secure second for Mercedes, while Carlos Sainz delivered a historic third-place finish marking Williams’ first podium in years. Rookie Kimi Antonelli impressed in fourth, while Liam Lawson successfully fended off a late charge from Norris and Lewis Hamilton to take sixth for Racing Bulls.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been part of the Formula One World Championship calendar since 2017. In 2016, a Formula One race was held on the streets of Baku City Circuit but under the European Grand Prix name. Daniel Ricciardo was the first-ever winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and Red Bull has the most race wins around Baku, with four to their name. The 2020 iteration of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in 2023 it was the first circuit to implement the new ‘sprint shootout’ format for the grid formation of sprint races.
The race has built a reputation for dramatic, unpredictable finishes: tyre failures, safety cars, late retirements, and overtaking battles down the 2.2 km main straight have made Baku one of the most-watched races on the calendar year after year.

The Baku City Circuit is a street circuit located right in the heart of Azerbaijan’s capital. It loops around the historic Old City (Icheri Sheher), passes along the modern Caspian Sea promenade (Baku Boulevard), and features a massive 2.2km main straight that runs along Neftchilar Avenue.
Since the track is in the city center, the best way to arrive is on foot or by using the Baku Metro. The nearest stations are Icheri Sheher, Sahil, and 28 May. During race weekend, metro hours are typically extended until 2:00 AM. Avoid using cars or taxis near the circuit, as major roads are closed and traffic in the surrounding areas is extremely heavy.
You are generally allowed to bring small snacks and one sealed plastic water bottle (up to 0.5L) per person. Glass bottles, cans, and alcohol are strictly prohibited at all entrance gates. The Fan Zones offer a great variety of local Azerbaijani cuisine, such as plov and kebabs, alongside standard international options.
The Absheron (Main) Grandstand is the only one that is partially covered and offers views of the start/finish line and pit lane. The Icheri Sheher Grandstand is famous for its view of the narrowest section in F1 (Turn 9) against the old fortress walls. Azneft is located at a high-speed 90-degree turn, while Sahil and Mugham offer views of the high-speed blasts along the boulevard.
Yes, General Admission tickets are often sold as “Roaming” tickets. These do not include a reserved seat but grant access to various standing areas and small podiums around the circuit. While they are the most budget-friendly, you should arrive early to secure a spot with a view of a giant screen to keep up with the race progress.
Traditionally, 3-day Grandstand ticket holders are granted access to a Pit Lane Walk, usually held on Thursday afternoon. This is a fantastic opportunity to see the cars and garages up close. Please note that General Admission (Roaming) ticket holders typically do not have access to this event.
While you do not need to show your passport to enter the gates, you must have a valid digital or printed ticket. However, since most international visitors require a visa or e-visa to enter Azerbaijan, it is highly recommended to keep a digital copy of your passport and visa on your phone just in case of any security spot-checks in the city.
The race is usually held in the spring or early autumn. While temperatures are generally pleasant (20°C to 25°C), Baku is known as the “City of Winds.” Strong gusts coming off the Caspian Sea can make it feel cooler, especially in the evening. Most grandstands are not covered, so bring layers and plenty of sunscreen for the daytime sessions.
Lewis Hamilton delivered one of the most emotional victories of his career at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, taking Ferrari’s first win since Mexico 2024 in a race that turned on a virtual safety car and ended with championship leader Kimi Antonelli stranded on the side of the track with four laps remaining.
Silverstone is one of the fastest and most technically demanding circuits on the Formula 1 calendar — a layout that rewards mechanical grip, aerodynamic balance and driver commitment in equal measure. With a capacity of over 164,000 and grandstands spread across the entire circuit, choosing where to sit requires more thought than simply picking the nearest available seat.
Formula 1 heads to Spain for Round 7 of the 2026 season, the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, from 12–14 June. It is the first of two Spanish rounds this year, with Madrid making its Formula 1 debut later in the season in September.
Kimi Antonelli delivered a masterclass at the Monaco Grand Prix to claim his fifth consecutive victory, leading from lights to flag through a chaotic finale that featured a safety car, a red flag and a remarkable six pit lane speeding penalties.
