Rakim Athelston Mayers (born October 3, 1988), professionally known as A$AP Rocky, is a Grammy-nominated American rapper, producer, actor, fashion designer, and model from Harlem, New York. He began in the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob, adopting the A$AP moniker from that group. His breakthrough came when his early single “Peso” went viral in 2011.

Rocky is also known for his influence in fashion (often a Chanel collaborator), film roles, and high-profile public profile, including a long-term relationship with global star Rihanna.
