The Ligue 1 giants are long-time admirers of the Argentine international, who has badly struggled for form since leaving Real Madrid for Old Trafford, having been subbed off at half time in this weekend’s win over Sunderland.
United hope to sign Ezequiel Lavezzi, also a target for Liverpool, from PSG, and are seemingly ready to use Di Maria as a makeweight in the deal.
Lavezzi has shown glimpses of top form in his time at the Parc des Princes, though he looks set to make way this summer after falling out of faovur with manager Laurent Blanc.
