Gunners plot risky deal to bring in 19-year-old wonderkid…
Arsenal have offered Schalke £26m plus German striker Lukas Podolski for 19-year-old midfielder Julian Draxler.
Jan Aage Fjortoft, respected German football journalist and ex-player, has confirmed the sensational bid via his Twitter account.
Podolski started the season well for Arsenal, bagging a brace in their victory over Fulham – but suffered an injury against Fenerbahce in a Champions League qualifier which will keep him out for ten weeks.
Draxler is one of the hottest properties in European football, but the bid still seems risky considering the player’s age, the enormous fee, and the fact the Podolski is an established top level performer.
