Swansea City captain Ashley Williams is set to move to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal have beaten Liverpool to the signing of Swansea City captain Ashley Williams, according to Goal.com.

The Wales international is set to sign a three-year deal worth around £60,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are confident of agreeing a fee around the £10m mark, after holiding preliminary negotiations with Swansea.

Boss Arsene Wenger is a big fan of 28-year-old Williams and the Frenchman believes the the Welshamn will toughen up a defence that has been found wanting at times this season.

Liverpool, who are searching for a replacement for retired stalwart Jamie Carragher, were also interested in the League Cup winner but are now likely to turn their attentions to Man City’s Kolo Toure and Schalke’s Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

Meanwhile, the north London outfit are willing to listen to offers for skipper Thomas Vermaelen but will not sell the Belgian to a Premier League rival.

Barcelona are said to be interested in Vermaelen, who is valued at around £15m.

Was a bit dubious buying F1 tickets…

Bought a 4 day grandstand seat to the australian grand prix and was a bit offput by the fact that I wouldn't recieve my tickets til the week of, but lo and behold, 3 days before the event the tickets were transferred to me without issue. Happy with the process overall.
