It’s the announcement that people have been waiting 10 years for, U2 have just announced that they are heading back to the UK for their first stadium shows on the continent in a decade and they’re bringing Wolf Alice along for the ride.
The Irish rock band have announced the UK and European leg of The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour, with two London dates currently in the diary for 18 and 19 June 2027 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The UK leg forms a part of a wider run of gigs that will see the fourpiece play across Europe next summer.
The announcement follows the band’s first run of 2027 dates in South America, where extra shows have already been announced in Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires, and ties in with the release of U2’s 16th studio album, Carnaval De Luz, due for release on 13 November 2026.

The London performances will be U2’s first UK shows since their appearances way back in 2018. Wolf Alice are to join U2 across the UK and Europe shows, already known as one of the most successful indie bands in the UK, it’s a big pull that contributes to a ridiculously strong double bill.
A new album before the tour
The new record, Carnaval De Luz, follows recent releases Days of Ash and Easter Lily, with its new single ‘The Greatest Show On Earth’ lending its name to the 2027 tour. U2 have described the tour as a challenge to themselves to put on an unforgettable night, a gig shrouded in colour and spectacle.
U2 have already teased songs from across their catalogue, while the setlist hasn’t been announced yet, there should be a mix of new material and the songs that have followed the band for decades.
More dates are on the way
There’s even more to look forward to already, as this isn’t the complete schedule just yet. U2 have revealed that dates in Ireland and Spain will be announced soon, with North American dates also expected to follow. The Edge has hinted that the tour will eventually wrap up in Ireland, stating that the homecoming will be a party not to be ended anywhere else.
