Sam Fender is making things properly big next summer, having just announced the Proper Massive Stadium Tour ‘27, with eight UK shows in the diary for June and July, including two nights at Wembley and a homecoming at Newcastle’s St James’ Park. Wunderhorse are set to join him as support on the UK stadium dates.
This marks a huge step, and a big comeback, for Sam Fender, who has spent the past couple of years going from an indie favourite to one of the biggest names in Britain, and with his fourth album now on the way, there’s a lot to look forward to before the tour even begins.

A homecoming in Newcastle
Newcastle was always going to feature heavily in this announcement, with the tease of Newcastle dates appearing during a Newcastle United match last weekend. Fender has already played huge shows at St James’ Park and these new dates will bring him back to the city where it all began. Fans are likely to travel across the country to see him play on home turf.
The London dates are another big milestone, two nights at Wembley Stadium are the biggest gigs Sam Fender has played to date, reflecting on just how far he has come since the release of Hypersonic Missiles in 2019.
There’s a strong chance of a new album before the tour begins too, with Sam’s live shows making room for the quieter, personal moments as well as huge choruses.
Is Sam Fender playing Glastonbury in 2027?
This has what’s got people talking, if you look at the tour schedule you’ll see a noticeable gap between Fender’s second Wembley show on 20 June and his Dublin date on 1 July. Glastonbury is scheduled to take place from 23 to 27 June 2027, fitting nearly into the break.
Rumours have already been gaining traction that Sam Fender will headline Glastonbury in 2027, particularly as he last played the festival back in 2022. For now though, this hasn’t been confirmed. The festival hasn’t yet announced its 2027 lineup and the gap is just a gap in the schedule. It leaves room for speculation, but fans will have to wait for an official announcement before treating anything as confirmed.
