Alpine Team Changes
Alpine have made a surprise driver switch ahead of the Imola race. Australian Jack Doohan has been replaced by Argentine driver Franco Colapinto after just six races. Colapinto will join Pierre Gasly this weekend, with the team planning another driver evaluation before the Silverstone Grand Prix in early July.
Additionally, team principal Oliver Oakes has departed less than a year into the role. Veteran adviser Flavio Briatore will temporarily take on Oakes’ responsibilities while continuing in his current advisory position.
