The 2025 Formula 1 season continues with Round 16 at the legendary Monza Circuit from 5–7 September for the Italian Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri arrives with a 34-point advantage over McLaren team-mate Lando Norris after Norris retired late in Zandvoort, handing Piastri his seventh win of the year.

With just eight races remaining, Norris faces mounting pressure to reignite his title challenge at the home of Ferrari, while Piastri looks to tighten his grip on the championship lead.

Weather Forecast

Unlike the rain-hit Dutch Grand Prix, Monza is set for sunshine all weekend. Forecasts predict dry conditions with little chance of rain across all three days. Friday and Saturday should see highs of 27°C with light winds, while Sunday’s 53-lap race is expected to be run in warm, clear conditions, perfect for flat-out racing at the Temple of Speed.

Piastri in Control, Norris Under Pressure

Piastri’s calm and consistent form has carried him to a commanding 34-point lead, leaving Norris with little margin for error in the title battle. While McLaren dominates the Constructors’ standings on 621 points, Ferrari sit second on 297, with Mercedes close behind on 285 — just 12 points separating them in the fight for runner-up honours.

Monza’s passionate tifosi will be out in force, eager to see Ferrari deliver at their home race, but the spotlight remains firmly on McLaren’s intra-team fight at the sharp end of the grid.

Track Facts

Monza is the fastest circuit on the Formula 1 calendar, nicknamed the “Temple of Speed” for its long straights and heavy braking zones. Overtaking is more feasible here than at Zandvoort, and strategy is often shaped by slipstream battles and tyre wear at high speeds. Expect a high-adrenaline weekend as the championship fight resumes on Ferrari’s home soil.

Wonderful

Excellent, fast, friendly service. Sent me a personal message with a photo before pick-up to let me know where their booth was located. Their service was so good, i’d go to an event just to pick up tickets from them. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
