Reports in England and Spain claim that Chelsea on close to signing Barcelona winger Pedro.
The 28-year-old Spanish international was odds-on to join Manchester United earlier today, but the Red Devils have apparently given up in their pursuit of the 28-year-old, who now look set to move to Stamford Bridge.
Betting has now been suspended, but the last punt placed on Chelsea to sign Pedro was at a very short 1/16.
Pedro is set to fly to London this week to have a medical ahead of a £21.1m switch to Stamford Bridge.
The three-time Champions League winner will leave Barca after eight seasons at the Camp Nou. His has won La Liga five times.
Respected journalist David Ornstein wrote: “BBC Sport can confirm that Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Pedro.”
Fellow BBC reporter Ben Smith added: “Just spoken to a contact at Barcelona. I’m told Pedro boarded a plane at 11:30 local time (10:30 BST) to fly to London to finalise his move to Chelsea. The bid from Chelsea is 28m euros (£19.7m) plus a further 2m euros (£1.4m) in add ons.”
