Former Strikeforce champion looking to make a name for himself.
Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will be looking to make a name for himself in under the UFC banner when he takes on Vitor Belfort at UFC on FX 8.
Rockhold with with him a 10-1 record in MMA, with notable victories under the now defunct Strikeforce banner including his victory for the strap against Ronaldo Souza.
The jiu-jitsu brown belt then went on to defend his title two more times to take his record under Strikeforce to a perfect 9-0.
However, Rockhold said he realises he faces a different animal all together in the form of Belfort, but the 28-year-old beleives a convincing win could put him in the picture to fight the winner between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman when they face off at UFC 162.
