New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has become even more of a hero in Boston now that he has led the Patriots to their fourth Super Bowl championship.
The Red Sox brought him in to throw the ceremonial first pitch to designated hitter David Ortiz, but it was not as good of a throw as someone may expect.
Brady’s pitch was thrown low and to the left, and “Beautiful Day” by U2 began playing in Fenway Park after the ceremonial first pitch was thrown.
Despite his poor throw, Brady clearly pumped up the Red Sox players as they demolished the Washington Nationals with nine runs.
Center fielder Mookie Betts was particularly inspired as he put on his best performance of the season with a three-run home run, two stolen bases and a home run-robbing catch.
Here is a video of Brady showing why he’s a quarterback and not a pitcher.
