Dockers pile on the pain for Melbourne to win by 90 points.
Fremantle’s hunt for the top four continues in earnest with a 90-point thrashing of Melbourne on Sunday at Pattersons Stadium.
The Dockers triumphed 19.16 (130) to 6.4 (40) thanks largely to the elite midfield work of David Mundy (34 disposals), Nat Fyfe (32) and Michael Barlow (31).
Hayden Ballantyne and Tendai Mzungu booted three goals each while Jeremy Howe was among Melbourne’s best with 27 touches and a pair of goals.
The Dockers travel to AAMI Stadium next Saturday where they face a resurgent Adelaide while the Demons fly home to meet Hawthorn.
