Promising Brisbane forward Daniel McStay has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the club, which will see him remain at the Lions until the end of the 2017 season.
McStay was contracted until the end of the 2015 season, but the Lions have moved quickly to lock-in the 19-year-old key forward.
The youngster impressed in his nine games this season – particularly against Melbourne when he booted three goals.
“I’m just happy to be McStaying,” McStay joked.
“Seriously, though, I have really enjoyed my time at the club so far and I was just rapt to get the opportunities that I did this year.
“The club is establishing a really good young list and I feel we are working towards something special. I’m excited to be a part of it.”
McStay was selected by Brisbane with pick No.25 in last year’s AFL Draft.
