Brisbane youngster Jack Crisp has emerged as a surprise possible trade as the Lions work on a deal to bring Dayne Beams to the club.
The Age is reporting that Crisp is open to returning to Victoria to continue his career after 18 games at the Lions.
Brisbane hope the versatile 21-year-old has attracted enough interest to complete a complicated five-club deal.
The deal would have seen Beams and Allen Christensen go to the Lions, Levi Greenwood and Travis Varcoe to Collingwood, Mitch Clark to Geelong and Heritier Lumumba join Melbourne.
However Beams’ desire to join Brisbane may not eventuate, with the Magpies calling off negotiations with the Lions on Friday.
