Former England cricket skipper leaps to the defence of current leader Alastair Cook.
Michael Vaughan has launched a stunning attack on Australian great Shane Warne after the leg-spinner criticised Alistair Cook’s captaincy as “boring”
The former Test came to the defence of the current captain, slamming Warne for his view that Michael Clarke is a better captain and that he creates a better environment behind-the-scenes for the player.
The gloves are well and truly off ahead of the Ashes this month as England look to hold onto the trophy yet again.
Take your blinkers off @warne888 .. How can M.Clarke be the best Captain in the World when his team doesn't win Cricket matches??? #fact.

Most of captaincy is about what we don't see…Getting the culture right behind the scenes… Cook is Outstanding in this department..

Clarke is a very good tactician.. But does he get the most important part of the job right @warne888 .. Creating the right environment??

Put George Bailey and Clarke in a blender and that would be the best Aussie Captain @warne888 ..
