Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson has confirmed the club’s interest in Melbourne free agent James Frawley.
The Hawks are in Tasmania showing off the 2014 premiership cup, and confirmed to reporters on Wednesday afternoon that the club were keen to sign the key defender.
“We are interested in James’s services,” Clarkson said.
“There’s a lot of things that have got to occur over the next few days if that was to occur.
“We’re probably a little bit behind the eightball given we’ve had a campaign to concentrate on in terms of trying to win a grand final.
“We’ll see how that materialises over the next week.”
Frawley has been linked with moves to Geelong and Fremantle, however the Hawks are believed to be the favourites to snare the All-Australian defender.
