Joe Cole to undergo a medical at Aston Villa on Tuesday ahead of probable one-year deal.
Joe Cole will undergo a medical a Aston Villa on Tuesday ahead of a possible move to the club on a one-year deal, according to reports.
The 32-year-old is now out of contract after he left West Ham United at the end of last season after making just 13 starts for the London club.
Cole began his career at West Ham before moving to Chelsea and later Liverpool, whilst also spending the 2011/12 season on loan at French Ligue 1 club Lille.
Reports last month claimed that Cole was on the move to the USA to play in the MLS, however it now seems the technically gifted midfielder will stay in the Premier League.
If Cole’s move does eventuate, he will become the second player to join Villa in the off-season after Swiss defender Philippe Senderos put pen to paper with the club last week after being released by the relegated Fulham.
