The west London side ran out 1-0 winners to maintain their Premier League title chase.
After drawing with Arsenal on Monday, Chelsea knew that they needed a victory at home to Swansea City to maintain their Premier League title push.
In the end a goal from Eden Hazard midway through the first half was enough to settle the tie and here’s how the Blues players rated.
Petr Cech – 6
Had little to do in match that Swansea never really threatened the goal, apart from one Alvaro Vasquez shot that was tipped over the bar.
Branislav Ivanovic – 8
A great display from the Serbian who not only marked Wayne Routledge out of the game but also got forward with plenty of intent.
John Terry – 8
Another superb showing from the captain who kept the Swans quiet and also laid on what looked like a certain goal for Samuel Eto’o – only for the striker to be denied.
David Luiz – 7
Drafted back into the team to replace Gary Cahill and looked comfortable at the back and should have gone some way to convincing Jose Mourinho of the Brazilian’s credentials.
Ashley Cole – 7
A rare start for the left-back who has been playing second fiddle to Cesar Azpilicueta of late and although Cole had little to do was comfortable at all times.
