News goes from bad to worse after losing the derby against Port Adelaide.
Brad Crouch will spend six weeks on the sidelines after scans revealed a fractured fibula the Adelaide Crows have announced post-game.
Crouch sustained the injury when he suffered a heavy knock to his leg during the last quarter against Port Adelaide.
The injury doesn’t require surgery. It’s an unfortunate setback for the 2013 Rising Star runner-up, who was playing only his second game back from a pre-season Achilles complaint.
It was better news for defender Sam Shaw. Shaw injured his wrist in a spoiling attempt in the third quarter, but was able to return to the field to play out the game. An X-Ray has cleared Shaw of any break, but he will be assessed during the week.
