Former Spurs manager inspires Villa FA Cup win.
Aston Villa’s new manager Tim Sherwood has been hailed for making an immediate impact for the club as they beat Leicester City 2-1 in the FA Cup fifth round, CaughtOffside reports.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss joined the club this week to replace Paul Lambert, and gave an inspiring half-time team-talk to lift his side to victory against the Foxes.
Villa’s caretaker boss Scott Marshall explained that Sherwood spoke to the players at half time, saying: “He came in there and made a few points to the lads, little bits and pieces for everyone really, and I thought the boys delivered that in the second half and were very good. I put across my points and then [Tim] had a little bit of input after that.
“There was a lot of individual detail there, there wasn’t one big sweeping statement. It was good information. There’s a football knowledge there that comes with a lifetime in the game.”
