AFL heavyweights leak last quarter goals to see final margin closer than hoped.
The Geelong Cats have won their 15th game of the AFL season after pipping the Port Adelaide Power by 25 points at Skilled Stadium.
Despite earning another important victory on the road to being one of the contenders for the 2013 title, the final margin could have been even bigger, with the Cats leading by 58 points.
However, Brad Scott’s men took their foot of the pedal as the Power scored six last quarter goals to one as they away side put some respectability into the final score of 20.9 (129) to 16.8 (104).
Geelong will travel to Patersons Stadium next weekend to take on the West Coast Eagles, while the Power will be desperate for the win to lock up a finals berth, as they face off against the Gold Coast Suns at AAMI Stadium.
