Lillard hoping to avoid joining big names to never have won a ring.
With the NBA playoffs upon us, Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has featured in a hilarious “no rings” commercial for Foot Locker.
The 23-year-old signed a long-term extension with Adidas earlier this week, with suggestions that the lucrative agreement is one of the richest ever given to a professional basketball player, with ESPN reporting it could be worth up to $100m over 10 years.
Lillard was the No.6 pick in the 2012 draft out of Weber State, and has worn Adidas throughout his pro-career, and he has now featured in this new advertisement for both the manufacturer and Foot Locker.
The Blazers point guard will be looking to avoid joining these legends of the game who have never won a ring, although it’s fair to say that he has time on his side given that he is only in his second year as an NBA player.
