“Luis Suarez, Barca’s number 9!”
A video released by FC Barcelona’s official Instagram account has confirmed that Luis Suarez will wear number 9 on his back when he finally plays for the La Liga giants.
Suarez will join Barca from Liverpool on a five-year deal next week, but he is currently banned until the end of October for biting Giorgio Chiellini at this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Barca’s number 9 jersey was vacated on Thursday night when Chile wideman Alexis Sanchez completed his move to Arsenal for a fee in the region of £35m.
