Just one game into the NFL season and already the blooper of the year is crowned.
It’s enough to turn coaches to drink.
Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan looked to have pulled off the perfect defensive play as he picked off a pass by Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco and was certain to return the ball for the score.
But somebody forgot to tell Trevathan he has to carry the ball over the goal line – maybe he missed that day at practice.
Either way he got a fearsome chewing out from Denver coach John Fox, it’s just lucky for the side that it didn’t cost them as Peyton Manning tied a NFL record with seven touchdown passes for the game as the Broncos won 49-27.
