Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was recently fined £50,000 by the Football Association for his criticism of referees in England.
The Special One, who has appealed that fine according to the London Evening Standard, may well have something to say about the standard of UEFA officials later this evening, because his side have been denied a clear penalty kick during the first half of their Group F game with Dynamo Kiev.
Cesc Fabregas broke away down the left flank and cut inside before dancing into the 18-yard box, where he was chopped down by Serhiy Rybalka.
Rybalka clearly made no contact with the ball, while he got plenty of his Spanish opponent’s leg.
Nevertheless, Slovenian referee Damir Skomina waved away Chelsea protests as Fabregas looked on with fury etched across his face.
The score remained 0-0 as the half-time whistle blew.
