Diego Costa scored his first goal in seven games to give Chelsea a 1-0 win over Norwich City in Saturday’s lower-midtable scrap at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea, who started the day 16th in the Premier League – one place below Norwich – broke the deadlock on 64 minutes.
Costa was assisted by some quick thinking from Cesc Fabregas, who picked him out from a free kick.
Costa’s finish was very neat. He took just one touch to control the ball, before placing it into the back of the net.
Fabregas and Costa were the Premier League’s most deadly double-act last season. After a poor start to the 2015-16 campaign, is this the beginning of the super Spaniards’ revival?
603 – Diego Costa ended a run of 603 minutes without a goal in all competitions for Chelsea. Relief.
