Australian head coach Mickey Arthur gives his reasonings on why four players were dropped from his squad.
Australian captain Michael Clarke and head coach Mickey Arthur decided to discipline four key players on Monday for what was described as unprofessional behaviour.
The players in question were vice-captain Shane Watson, Mitchell Johnson, Usman Khawaja and James Pattinson. Both Watson and Pattinson have responded to the decision, with Watson making himself unavailable for the rest of the tour and Pattinson saying the decision was right.
However, the media have been waiting for Mickey Arthur and Michael Clarke to have their say, and now the former has given an interview, viewable below.
Arthur has stressed that players should always be professional on tour and that the suspended quartet did not meet those expectations.
