Hector Bellerin is quickly becoming one of Arsenal’s most important players, and the Spaniard has handed the Gunners a huge boost by revealing that he feels he “belongs” at the Emirates Stadium.
The 20-year-old speedster has been linked with a return to Barcelona by the Daily Mail. He left his boyhood club for Arsenal in 2011 and has since established himself as a regular at right-back.
The lure of the Camp Nou was too much when then-skipper Cesc Fabregas left Arsenal to rejoin the La Liga giants in 2011, but Bellerin’s words suggest that he will not make the same move.
As The Independent reports, a groin problem means that the Spaniard will miss this afternoon’s North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur. Thankfully it does not seem that Arsenal will need a long-term contingency plan.
