The striker is back on the score-sheet with an unusual effort.
Watch the goal here.
Chelsea headed into half-time during their Champions League clash with Schalke 04 1-0 up after a cheeky goal from striker Samuel Eto’o.
The 32-year-old was brought into the side to replace Fernando Torres and has repaid manager Jose Mourinho’s faith with a strike to give the Blues the lead.
However, it wasn’t a moment of pure class as Eto’o simply blocked a clearance from Schalke goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand to send the ball into the net.
The faithful on Twitter have given their thoughts on the effort from the Cameroon international.
LOL RT @_TweetPecker: Eto’o is a witch, how comes the goalkeeper didn’t see him coming.

That Eto’o goal has convinced me that he’s still a striker.

That ridiculous Eto’o goal shows how a natural goal poacher he still is..

Just saw the Eto’o goal, reminds me of Paul Furlong’s one off the arse in the Cup Winners Cup against Bruge.

It was certainly a bizarre goal from Eto’o, but Mourinho and the west London faithful at Stamford Bridge won’t care as a win in this tie will take the side into touching distance of the last-16.
The African has struggled to find much form since making the transfer to the English capital this summer, but that goal ensures the forward has netted in each of the last nine Champions League seasons.
