Darren Clarke given the nod ahead of Miguel.
It was today announced that Darren Clarke will captain Europe, the holders of the Ryder Cup, for the 2016 tournament at Hazeltine, United States.
A five-man panel opted to give Clarke the honour ahead of rivals Jimenez and Thomas Bjorn.
