The forward is clearly still not a favourite among the Gunners faithful.
In a result that made the Premier League title race look even closer, Manchester United inflicted the first defeat since the opening day of the season on leaders Arsenal.
The Gunners have been in superb form whilst United have stuttered under new manager David Moyes, but it was the Scot that came out of this game smiling after securing a 1-0 victory.
Late in the match as the visitors chased the tie, Arsene Wenger sent on unpopular striker Nicklas Bendtner and ‘If Bendtner’ has trended on Twitter as a result.
Here are some of the best tweets.

The Denmark international was nearly sold this summer but Wenger decided to keep hold of the forward due to a lack of options in attack.
Bendtner has not scored for the club since 2010 and endured an unsuccessful loan spell with Juventus last term – again failing to find the net.
The 25-year-old is not a popular figure among the faithful at the Emirates Stadium and if there is an injury to Olivier Giroud then Wenger’s men could be in real trouble.
