No sooner had Ferrari announced the departure of Fernando Alonso than they confirmed the arrival of the Spaniard’s replacement.
Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel has joined for the 2015 season, leaving Red Bull where he has had so much success.
The German driver joins on a three year deal from 2015, the Italian side announced on their website.
The Italian team announced their ambitious plans for their new driving partnership:
“In Formula 1 terms, Sebastian Vettel is a unique combination of youthfulness and experience and he brings with him that sense of team spirit which will prove invaluable when, together with Kimi, they tackle the challenges awaiting us, as we aim to be front runners again as soon as possible.”
Toro Rosso driver Daniil Kvyat will graduate to Red Bull to take Vettel’s place alongside Daniel Ricciardo.
