The Welshman takes charge of his first match on Saturday.
Manchester United will play their first game without David Moyes as manager against Norwich City on Saturday and interim Ryan Giggs has given his first pre-match press conference.
Moyes was sacked after just 10 months in charge on Tuesday and player-coach Giggs was appointed to take charge of the team until the end of the season.
The Welshman certainly knows what it takes to achieve success at Old Trafford as the most decorated player in English history – which includes 13 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues.
However, Giggs is also nervous about being in the dugout for the first time, but still describes being given the job as the proudest moment of his life.
Ryan added on #MUTV: “I’ve got to say this is the proudest moment of my life. The club has been the biggest part of my life since I was 14.”

Giggs continued on #MUTV: “I’m proud, happy, a little bit nervous, but just like I am as a player, I can’t wait for the game on Saturday.”

Unfortunately for Moyes his legacy with the Red Devils will be guiding them to their lowest ever Premier League points tally and also failing to get them to the Champions League for the first time since 1995.
Giggs is among the candidates that are considered to be taking over from the Scot permanently, along with Netherlands head coach Louis van Gaal, Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid and even Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho.
