The NFL announced its three players of the week in the NFC for Week 8 of the 2014 NFL season.
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week, Minnesota Vikings LB Anthony Barr was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, and Washington K Kai Forbath was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Fitzgerald, the Cardinals iconic wideout, won the award after he had one of his best games in an otherwise quiet season, recording seven catches for 160 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Eagles.
Barr, the Vikings 9th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, recorded 8 tackles and a sack but had the signature winning play of the week in overtime against the Buccaneers with a fumble returned for a TD in the opening seconds of overtime.
Forbath had a perfect night for Washington in an upset win over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night football, going 2-for-2 on FGs and kicking the go ahead 40-yard score in OT that eventually sealed the win for Washington.
