The Euro 2016 qualifiers are coming to a conclusion as both England and Spain ended their qualifying campaign on Monday night.
Arsenal ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain completed a 3-0 win for Roy Hodgson’s men with this effort against Lithuania.
That result ensured that the Three Lions head to France with a 100 percent record in qualifying, and they will certainly be buoyed by their form as well as the new faces in the squad that impressed to stake their claim for a place in the squad next summer.
Elsewhere, Mario Gaspar’s first-half header secured a 1-0 win for Spain over Ukraine, but Cesc Fabregas missed a penalty on the night which was his fourth consecutive miss from the spot.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea played an instrumental role in the victory, as he made a number of key saves to deny the hosts a way back into the game.
Spain finished top of Group C with 27 points from their 10 games, but they will have plenty of work to do in order to defend their European crown.
