In one of the more obscure transfer rumours you’ll hear in coming weeks, Liverpool are prepared to use young Spanish playmaker Suso as a bargaining tool in their pursuit of Porto midfielder Fernando, reports Football Direct News.
Liverpool’s Spanish youngster is currently enjoying a relatively successful loan spell with Almeria in La Liga, where he’s assisted eight goals so far this term.
He burst onto the scene when Brendan Rodgers took over the reigns at Anfield, but was sent away for the year to play more regular first-team football.
Although Liverpool have been pleased with his progress, they’re prepared to offload him in exchange for Brazilian Fernando, the holding midfielder who’s put consistently strong performances in all season in Portugal.
Fernando almost joined Manchester City in the January transfer window, and with Manchester United also interested, the Reds believe by offering Porto the talented 20-year-old as well as cash, they can beat their rivals to his signature.
