Liverpool could be set to sign highly impressive Portuguese youngster Fabio Sturgeon this January after scouts were impressed by his performances, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 20-year-old, who has an English father, could be tempted by a move to the Premier League as he looks to further his career, with the Reds ready to pay his £2.4m asking price.
Sturgeon is already a first-team regular for Portuguese top flight side Belenenses and could slot in well as part of the first-team setup at Anfield.
Liverpool are known for keeping an eye out on impressive young players, and signed highly-rated defender Tiago Ilori from Sporting Lisbon last summer.
