Arizona Cardinals quarterback Drew Stanton received a huge relief when it was revealed his knee injury is only a sprain and week-to-week.
The Arizona Cardinals held on for a 12-6 road victory over the St. Louis Rams, and the team persisted through yet another major injury.
Quarterback Drew Stanton left the game in the fourth quarter with a sprained knee, and he was replaced by Ryan Lindley.
Since the Cardinals have 11 wins, they are virtually guaranteed to make the playoffs, so they may get Stanton back before the playoffs begin. The Cardinals finally caught a break with injuries as Stanton avoided a more serious injury.
Here is a tweet from NFL Network national reporter Ian Rapoport updating on Stanton’s knee.
