Stats show Liverpool manager wasn’t lying with outlandish comparison.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers raised a few eyebrows this week when he boldly claimed that Raheem Sterling was better than Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.
However, as the stats below show…his claims aren’t that crazy after all.
Arsenal attacker Sanchez has been one of the stars of the Premier League season, while Sterling is largely said to have struggled.
But, while Sanchez has scored more goals than the young Englishman (mostly because he’s been used up front a lot!) Sterling has clocked up a similar amount of assists and chances created.
Sterling has also beaten more players than the Chilean international by 50 to 45.
