Houston Texans running back Arian Foster publicly expressed that he supports Andre Johnson as he is holding out in anticipation of being traded.
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has openly stated his disgruntlement about playing in Houston since they went through a disappointing 2-14 season. He has made it clear that he wants to be traded to a new team.
However, running back Arian Foster threw out his support for Johnson, his team-mate with the Texans.
“He is Houston. Everywhere I go this is still Dre’s city. I don’t care if James Harden is walking around or Dwight Howard or whatever. This is Andre’s city,” said Foster to NFL.
Foster also stated that he supports whatever decision Johnson makes – whether that decision turns out to be away from Houston, or if he decides to return to team practices and stick it out with the Texans.
He has proven that he can still play at a high level, finishing with 109 catches, 1,407 yards and five touchdown catches in 2013.
Johnson is planning to continue his holdout, but the Texans are planning to fine him $30,000 each day he does not show up to training camp, which begins on July 25.
