Beckham was unsure whether to hang up his boots…
Former football superstar David Beckham was unsure whether to retire this year, reports the Telegraph.
The 38-year-old hung up his boots in June, after a long and successful playing career, following a short spell at Ligue 1 champions PSG.
Beckham won 115 caps during a glittering career where he became recognised as the most marketable footballer in the world, representing Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and PSG.
“A decision like that, I was always going to second guess myself,” said the former England skipper.
“I was always going to question whether I was going to make the right decision or not. But I think you always do that as an athlete, you always feel like you can play on when you can’t. That’s the passion behind the athlete.”
The midfielder won ten league titles across four different countries, and now works in an ambassadorial role for both England and Manchester United.
